Best Budget 65 Inch TV: Hisense 65U6G

Type LED
Sub-Type
 VA
Resolution 4k

The Hisense 65U6G is the best budget 65 inch TV that we've tested. It's a simple, yet reliable TV that offers great value for its price. Its impressive picture quality competes with higher-end, more expensive options, and although it lacks gaming features that you would normally find on premium TVs, most people should enjoy it. It should look nice in any setup and has decent build quality.

Motion looks smooth on the U6G thanks to the quick response time, and the low input lag helps deliver a responsive gaming experience. It doesn't have any issues upscaling lower-resolution content, and the built-in Android TV is great to use. Its VA panel has a high native contrast ratio with exceptional black uniformity, and the full-array local dimming helps improve the picture quality in dark scenes. Even in a well-lit room, visibility shouldn't be an issue because it has excellent reflection handling and great peak brightness.

Unfortunately, its HDR experience isn't as good as some more expensive options like the Hisense U8G. It displays a wide color gamut and has great gradient handling, but its HDR peak brightness is just okay and some highlights may not pop how they should. It's still great for HDR and supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, so you won't have to worry about the format your movie is in. It also has narrow viewing angles, but that's expected from a VA panel. Overall, this TV is great overall and it's available at a low cost, making it the best 65 inch TV in the budget category.
