TCL 5 Series/S555 2022 QLED TV Review
A low-cost 4k TV with the Roku OS smart interface was released in 2022 and is called the TCL 5 Series/S555 2022 QLED. It replaces the TCL 5 Series/S535 2020 QLED and is placed below the far more sophisticated TCL 6 Series/R655 2022 QLED. Along with the TCL 5 Series/S546 2021 QLED, which uses the Google TV smart interface as opposed to Roku TV, it is also available. Compared to the S535, it offers a few new capabilities, including as support for variable refresh rates, however, like the S546, it is only capable of 60Hz refresh rates and does not support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. Although it has full array local dimming, like other inexpensive models,
It features a few dimming zones and does not employ Mini LED backlighting. It comes in sizes of 50 inches, 55 inches, 65 inches, and 75 inches, so there are alternatives for a variety of purposes, and all sizes work the same.
