Everything that transpired during the 2026 World Cup draw and the announcement of the group stage schedule

The World Cup schedule and draw as it occurred
The whole itinerary for the 2026 World Cup has been revealed.

On June 12 at 9 p.m. ET, the USMNT will play Paraguay in Los Angeles to begin their World Cup campaign. On June 19 at 3 p.m., they play Australia in Seattle. On June 25 at 10 p.m., they play a playoff winner in Los Angeles.

Following President Trump's acceptance of the first FIFA Peace Prize, the tournament draw was held on Friday at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

2026 World Cup: Complete schedule and matches

FIFA stated that the World Cup final will take place at MetLife Stadium on July 19, 2026, at 3 p.m. (ET). This move is likely to rekindle the discussion over conflicts between player welfare and commercial priorities.

Players and spectators will be exposed to the weather at MetLife Stadium, which is situated in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and is an open space without a roof. Last summer, MetLife hosted the FIFA Club World Cup semifinals and final, all of which began at 3 p.m. ET.

The World Cup final is therefore one of only two of its MetLife games slated to take place at 3pm, a time which also provides a premium slot for a European television audience. FIFA makes the decisions about schedules and kick-off times.
