NBA All-Star Game lineups, predictions, and locations for the U.S. vs. World match

The Oklahoma City Thunder will have a strong presence at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, for the second consecutive year.

Both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren were chosen to participate in the NBA All-Star Game; Gilgeous-Alexander was chosen to play for the World squad, while Holmgren was chosen to play for the USA Stars. But SGA will also be absent because of an injury.

Three teams compete in a round-robin tournament over the course of a typical four-quarter game in the inaugural U.S. vs. World format.

NBA All-Star game scouting report: What to watch for in U.S. vs. World format
The one thing I’m watching for is the level of competitiveness. Will the new U.S. vs. World format ignite a fire that has dwindled in the All-Star game throughout the years, or will it be more of the same? I think it’ll be the latter, but hopefully I’m wrong. —Justin Martinez, The Oklahoman

Can the World squad win the NBA All-Star Game without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo, two injured stars?
The World team is the most popular choice, but Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are out by injuries. Give me the USA Stars team instead, as two of the top three basketball players are no longer available. With Cade Cunningham, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Maxey, and Devin Booker in the mix, there is no lack of scoring. Additionally, Scottie Barnes and Chet Holmgren are two of its best defenders.
